  • Pets must be up to date on rabies and combination vaccinations to use our service.
  • Please ensure your pet is in good health before the ride. We may decline transport if the pet appears unwell or unfit for travel.
  • Please take your pet for a short walk before the ride to allow for toilet needs.
  • In the unlikely event of an accident resulting in injury or death, we are unable to accept claims for compensation or damages. However, passengers are covered under our automobile liability insurance.
  • Scheduled pickup times are estimates. Delays may occur due to traffic, vehicle issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. We are unable to compensate for such delays.

We prioritize safe driving and maintain a clean, sanitized vehicle at all times. The car is disinfected and ozone-treated after every ride to prevent infection or skin issues. You can ride with complete confidence.
Depending on the size, we can typically accommodate 2–3 pets. Up to 3 companions may ride along with the pet at no extra charge.
Yes — we welcome any pet that is legal to keep as a companion animal in Japan. Rabbits, birds, reptiles (including snakes), and more are welcome. Please contact us to discuss your specific pet.
Please don't worry — we thoroughly clean and sanitize the vehicle before and after every ride. If your pet becomes unwell, we also have connections with local veterinary clinics for emergency referral.
We're sorry, but we are unable to accept pets that have not received their rabies and combination vaccinations. This policy is in place to protect all animals that use our vehicle.
As a general rule, we ask that an owner or companion rides along with the pet. This is to ensure we can take appropriate action if something unexpected occurs during the journey.
For long journeys, we'll plan rest stops with you in advance — including breaks for water, snacks, and short walks. If your pet is prone to motion sickness, we recommend consulting your vet about anti-nausea medication beforehand. Bringing familiar toys or a carrier your pet knows can also help.
Our vehicle is strictly non-smoking at all times. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping a comfortable environment for your pet.
Cancellations before 12:00 noon the day before: No charge.
After 12:00 noon the day before up to the day of: 50% of quoted fare.
During the ride: 100% of quoted fare.
No extra charge for weekends or holidays. However, a late-night / early-morning surcharge of ¥3,300 applies for rides between 21:00 and 8:00.
Yes. Coco-Taku is a fully licensed light-freight transport operator (黒ナンバー / Black Plate) registered with Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. We also carry cargo liability insurance specifically for animals.

    Precautions for Use

    ・ The owner may ride along as a companion at no extra charge.

    ・ We may decline service for pets that are unsanitary, aggressive, or cannot be safely handled in/out of a carrier.

    ・ Pets that have not received rabies and combination vaccinations are not eligible for our service.

    ・ Please ensure your pet is in good health. We may decline transport if your pet is injured, recovering from illness, prone to motion sickness, or otherwise unfit for travel.

    ・ Please take your pet for a short walk before the ride to allow for toilet needs.

    ・ In the unlikely event of an accident resulting in injury, illness, or death of your pet, we are unable to accept claims for compensation or damages. Please note that companions riding along are covered within the scope of our automobile liability insurance.

    ・ Scheduled pickup times are estimates only and may vary. Significant delays or cancellations may occur due to traffic conditions, illness, vehicle breakdown, accidents, or other circumstances beyond our control. We are unable to offer fare discounts or accept claims for compensation in such cases.

    Privacy Policy

    Article 1 General Provisions

    Coco-Taku Kashiwara (hereinafter "the Shop") recognizes the protection of personal information as an important social responsibility and establishes this policy as the fundamental guidelines for the appropriate management and operation of user information held by the Shop.

    Article 2 Collection of Personal Information

    1. The Shop collects personal information handled through its services (hereinafter "Personal Information") by lawful and fair means.

    2. Personal information collected via the internet is encrypted using SSL before being transmitted to the server.

    3. The Shop will not collect sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for business operations. Where such information is collected, prior consent will be obtained from the individual concerned.

    4. If the personal information provided is insufficient, the Shop may be unable to provide all or part of its services, or to respond to inquiries.

    Article 3 Purpose of Use

    The Shop uses information provided by users (and their legal representatives, where applicable) for the following purposes:

    (1) To accept service applications and verify user identity

    (2) To provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Shop's services

    (3) For registration and screening purposes with third-party payment processors

    (4) To send service-related notices and information about related services via email or mail

    (5) To respond to inquiries and other requests

    (6) To accurately understand and respond to inquiries from users

    (7) To fulfill specific purposes that have been disclosed in advance and consented to by the user

    Article 4 Disclosure to Third Parties

    The Shop will not provide or entrust Personal Information to third parties except in the following cases:

    (1) When outsourcing within the scope necessary to fulfill the purposes in Article 3(1) (6)

    (2) When providing information with the user's consent within the scope of Article 3(7)

    (3) In connection with a business succession due to merger or similar event

    (4) When cooperation is required for legal duties carried out by government bodies, and obtaining consent may impede those duties

    (5) In any other case permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other applicable laws

    Article 5 Outsourcing

    When outsourcing tasks such as data processing, the Shop may share Personal Information to the minimum extent necessary. The Shop ensures that outsourced parties maintain a level of personal information protection equivalent to or higher than its own, and exercises appropriate supervision to ensure confidentiality.

    Article 6 Management of Personal Information

    1. The Shop maintains the accuracy of Personal Information and manages it securely.

    2. The Shop implements appropriate information security measures against unauthorized access, computer viruses, and other threats to prevent loss, destruction, falsification, or leakage of Personal Information.

    3. The Shop will not take Personal Information outside the organization or transmit it externally for purposes not specified in this Policy or the Terms of Service.

    4. The Shop will provide necessary and appropriate supervision to employees who handle personal data to ensure its safe management.

    Article 7 Correction and Suspension of Use

    1. If a user requests correction of Personal Information on the grounds that it is inaccurate, or requests suspension of use on the grounds that it is being used beyond the stated purposes or was collected by fraudulent means, the Shop will verify the identity of the requester, promptly conduct the necessary investigation, and notify the user of the outcome. If the Shop decides not to make corrections or suspend use based on reasonable grounds, the user will be notified accordingly.

    2. If a user requests deletion of their Personal Information and the Shop determines the request is warranted, it will verify the identity of the requester and carry out the deletion. If the Shop decides not to delete the information based on reasonable grounds, the user will be notified.

    3. The preceding provisions do not apply where the Shop is not obligated to make corrections or suspend use under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other applicable laws.

    Article 8 Cookies

    Some content on the Shop's services uses cookies. Cookies are records of access to web content and do not contain personal information. Cookies can be disabled through your browser settings.

    Article 9 Analytics Tools

    1. The Shop uses Google Analytics, an analytics service provided by Google Inc., to collect log data for the purpose of service improvement. Log data is sent to Google, processed into anonymized statistical form, and returned to the Shop.

    2. The Shop uses log data for marketing analysis and service quality improvement. Google manages log data under its own responsibility in accordance with Google's Terms of Service and this Policy. For details, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.

    Article 10 Third-Party Ad Serving

    The Shop uses third-party ad serving services, which use cookies to collect traffic data. Users who do not wish to have traffic data collected may disable cookies through their browser settings.

    Article 11 Disclaimer

    The Shop bears no responsibility for the handling of personal information in the following cases:

    (1) When a user voluntarily or negligently discloses their personal information to a third party

    (2) When a user provides personal information on an external website linked from the Shop's website but not managed by the Shop, or when personal information is unintentionally extracted

    (3) When personal information is leaked, damaged, or lost due to malware, natural disasters, or other causes beyond the Shop's control despite reasonable precautions

    Article 12 Anonymized Information

    The Shop may create and retain anonymized information based on provided personal information, processed in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information so that no individual can be identified. Such anonymized information may also be provided to third parties. The Shop intends to continue creating (updating) and sharing such anonymized information on an ongoing basis.

    The Shop complies with applicable Japanese laws and regulations regarding personal information and will periodically review and continuously improve its handling practices. This Policy may be amended as necessary. Users will be notified of any changes via the Shop's website.
